Verified Kinesis users can earn an introductory variable yield* on C1USD balances held in their accounts, with no lock-up period. This yield is attached to the verified account, not to the token itself.
C1USD is issued by Kinesis Money Panama S.A. (“Kinesis Panama”), the entity responsible for its issuance and management within the Kinesis ecosystem. C1USD is the first asset in the Currency One Suite of single-currency stablecoins.
Available through the Kinesis platform, C1USD operates on the Stellar and Ethereum (ERC-20) blockchains. Stellar provides fast, low-cost sending across supported networks, while Ethereum ensures broad compatibility through the ERC-20 standard, enabling integration with smart contracts and decentralised applications. In addition, C1USD is set to be listed on selected partner exchanges as part of its phased rollout.
Reserves are held with regulated financial institutions and will be subject to monthly attestations. An insurance structure is set to be introduced to provide additional protection of the peg.
In addition, C1USD is set to incorporate a variable yield* for verified Kinesis account holders, with no lock-up period.
C1USD functions as a stable digital asset within the Kinesis Exchange and wider ecosystem. It can be used as a stable trading pair against gold (KAU), silver (KAG), and other digital assets.
